Liam Drew is the owner and face of Hole in 1, Lynmouth.
Following an education at Pilton Community College, Liam moved to Yeovil to study Law. After numerous part-time jobs and completion of his criminal litigation qualification, it soon became apparent that university wasn’t for him. However, Liam did have a long-standing ambition to run his own business and in November 2018 he saw the perfect opportunity.
Against the advice of many to pursue his career in Law, Liam kept the courage to follow his dreams and submitted a sealed bid and business plan for Hole in 1. ”I never thought it would happen", said Liam, "being given the chance at the age of 18 was a dream come true”. Yet as a result of his determination, creativity and maturity, the dream became reality and Liam opened the greens in April 2019. He swiftly made various improvements to the business but shares that he is 'far from done yet, with many future plans yet to 'tee-off'!
Liam is a great lover of sport in general and partial to the odd ice-cream or 4! The green kiosk therefore offers a guilty pleasure alongside a sporting passion - Liam's idea of 'the ultimate combination'!
